The school complex Oasis de Maadi was established in 1994 from a will to combine excellence and blooming through a French speaking education, deeply rooted in the Egyptian culture, while supporting a non-restrictive international vision. To achieve this goal, Oasis applied a reputable national program and for 12 years now has been offering the Egyptian baccalaureate. As of 2002, Oasis added an international section. In 2004, Oasis international school became the first school authorized to give the three programs of the international Baccalaureate in French: the PYP (Primary Years Program), the MYP (Middle Years Program) and the DP (Diploma Program) of the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Oasis' official language of instruction is French. English is studied as a second language, yet, our English program is recognized for its strength. In the Diploma years, English is offered as an A1 option (literature) due to the proficiency of many students in it.

In 2006/2007, Oasis participated in several international MUN conferences: the AMMUN in Jordon, the Student League of Nations in Switzerland, the GEMUN in Italy twice, and the DSAMUN in Greece. Three of our students were recognized as best delegates in the GEMUN conference in spite of the fact that they had little experience with MUN conferences.

Upon returning from Italy, the students had the opportunity to meet with the ex-Secretary General of the UN, Mr. Boutros Ghali, currently the President of the National Human Rights Council in Egypt. Students listened to his fascinating stories about his UN experience and were privileged to ask him questions about his personal political opinions.

Also, in 2008, the OISMUN club members took part in a local conference (ALMUN) organized by Cairo University's Political Science Department. Several Oasis students were once more awarded and chosen as best delegates and best delegations.

In 2009, Oasis has created its own conference: OISMUN. The conference took place March 27th - 29th. It was composed of the following committees: the Security Council, the Human Rights Council, and a Special Conference on Children. In addition, there was a Special Conference debating in French. And in December 2009, 15 of our students participated in the conference PAMUN headquarters of UNESCO.

In 2010, the school held its second conference in February, there were 10 schools, seven foreign (The Friends' School - Australia, Lycée Honore de Balzac - France, United World College of Adriatic - Italy, Galatasaray - Turkey, The Cambridge High School - Abu Dhabi-UAE, Amman Academy and The International Academy of Amman - Jordan) and two Locale (Oasis International and British Columbia Canadian International School). In March we attended the AlMUN (Cairo mars2010), one of our students (Youssef El Sonbaty) was named Best Delegate.
