The Model Arab League

on 25th and 26th of February 2017

D1 students held the 5th Annual Arab League Model Conference on February 25th and 26th, 2017 at Oasis International School. The conference was held under the supervision of the secretariat, Youssef Sarofim, Lobna El Haraky and Salma Abu Hachich.

The Oasis International School has always been aiming to develop the open-mindedness of pupils and has decided since 2013 to launch an annual Arab League Model at school. From then on, this conference had been a great success every year.

The conference was held for two days where students from C3 to D1 were divided among five different committees such as the summit committee, the economic and social committee, the Arab foreign affairs committee, the Arab internal affairs committee, the justice committee, each on

different subjects.

It was in this context that the opening ceremony was held on Saturday, 25 February 2017, in the presence of the General Director of the Oasis International School, Mrs. Esmat LAMEI, and Mr. Essam Sharaf, Prime Minister of Egypt.

The sessions started on the first day with great enthusiasm from the delegates and the organization's team. During the conference, the five committees brought out impeccable resolutions as the outcome of the debates.

We celebrated the end of this conference on February 27th, 2017 with an unforgettable and truly touching closing ceremony at the official building of the Arab League in El Tahrir Square. We were honored by the presence of Mr. Essam Sharaf, former Egyptian Prime Minister, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Deputy Secretary of the Arab League and Ambassador Ahmed El Tazi, Ambassador of Morocco to Egypt.

Participants were recognized for their effort and their phenomenal work through speeches and certificates.
